Ok

Back to "painting" and epe-ing the visual cortex and precuneus...

There is a sulcus - The cingulate sulcus which curves upwards and makes the upper border of the precuneus.

I like the spelling Praecuneus...

Anyway!

I've been "painting" all the way up to this "upward tail" of the cingulate sulcus, (on the "back wall" and also "lip")

Its interesting!

Again its a "hard to see" area, with my minds eye that is

...actually this area might BE my minds eye...

I find it interesting that colloquially people say mind's eye - singular, not plural.

phenomena and experiences:

-Clarity and "realness" of visually percieved enviroment.

-Association and presence with enviroment.

I like this picture of an eye, it shows the 3d-ness of the globe well, and I like the detail.

What is Seeing?
What is Vision?
My model of the world?
Is My way of seeing the world the way I use my visual cortex?

I really am seeing things in a new way, from a different perspective, after exploring these areas of my brain the last couple of days.

Can I choose my feelings?

I have a question.

Can I choose my emotional state?

Can I "direct my feelings"?

There seems that there is a presupposition that I have (and perhaps others too)
that I need a reason to feel good, that I can only feel good if good things are happening around me, that others "make" me feel good.

Imagine if I had a little mixing desk for my emotional state and I could slide it up to feeling good, regardless of the situation around me and the behavior of others....

Choose to feel good....

What is "E.P.E.P"-ING?

E.P.E.P

E - Explore
P - Play
E - Experiment
P - Process

what I do is

Have an Intention to find out something new, then e.p.e.p
until I have an "aha moment".
I walked around a park today, e.p.e-ing areas of my Visual cortex.

-I noticed that my right side "back wall" of the Precuneus seems very far "wooshed back"... "far out" ... Far out into the higher level "non physical"ish areas?

The precuneus "lip" between the "back wall" and medial side seems to be a "sweet spot" where I can "get" / "hold onto" the big picture/Panorama.

-it was hard to see the "back wall" of the right hand side lower visual cortex, as it was hard to see all of the "back wall" too, but thinking about this area seemed to help alot.... maybe it "grounds" the Upper Visual some how

There were "flashes" of different ways of seeing, trees became more vivid, things seeming more "real" or "physical".

Metaphorically and actually I am "seeing things in a new way"

What came up throughout the session was the idea of general/specific, Panoramic/details, "non-physicial"/physical, Universal/Personal, Big picture/little details. Its a developing understanding in me... along with "logical levels".

I mentally " paint" over the areas of the cortex with an imagined paint brush of "sparkling light"
